UC's Department Women's, Gender & Sexuality Studies (WGSS) is looking to hire an annual adjunct to start in Fall 2025. The candidate will be primarily responsible for teaching courses that support the LGBTQ Studies Certificate, but there will be opportunities to teach other WGSS courses depending on the candidates areas of expertise and the departments need. The appointment will be renewable, based upon the departments need, enrollments and teaching performance. Teaching is assigned on a semester-by-semester basis in 3 credit hour sections; office hours are required to meet with students as needed. Classes may be day or evening and must include in-person meetings as well as hybrid and online options. Every effort is made to accommodate schedule preferences; however, individual teaching assignments are made within the confines of the overall schedule. Consequently, we cannot guarantee preferred times and days or the number of preparations. Rank and compensation are based on experience and academic credentials. While the appointment involves typically teaching 2-4 three credit hour courses in each of Fall and Spring semesters, compensation and benefits occur across 12 months. Annual adjuncts are eligible for benefits. Annual adjunct instructors are also eligible for 3 credit hours of tuition remission each term. Essential Functions
- On a part-time basis, conduct and teach assigned undergraduate courses. Minimum Requirements
