This is a hybrid role that would require commuting to our Hartford, WI headquarters multiple times a week.

Business Job Title: Master Scheduler

Job Summary:

As a Master Scheduler, your primary job duties are the creation and implementation of schedules for the organization's production needs, to ensure efficient operations with a fanatical focus on the customer.

The Master Scheduler is required to coordinate with production planners, plant supervisors, new product development, purchasing, distribution, sales, forecasting, engineering, finance, and marketing teams to resolve any issues regarding the planning, timing, and execution of scheduled production for their respective areas.

Master Schedulers provide a level schedule to the production planning team which requires monitoring schedule adherence and reporting on schedule attainment. Setting level schedules may include multiple Broan manufacturing sites. Required to collaborate with internal resources such as purchasing, product development, engineering, and sales for the phase-in of new products and phase-out of discontinued products.

The Master Scheduler is a strategic partner in their role acting as a liaison with the rest of the company to ensure plans are effectively communicated and carried out. This includes participation in plant capacity analysis.

Job Responsibilities:



  • Capacity analysis with Operations.
  • Level Schedules

    • Create monthly level load in weekly buckets.
    • Ensure level load meets capacity requirements.
    • Work with Planners on level schedule attainment.

      • Interface with buyers on component allocation


    • Track demand changes and make necessary adjustments to plan.


  • System parameters are set up correctly.
  • NPD and Phase-Out leader for supply chain.
  • Aid in SKU transfers between facilities.
  • Quarterly review of Safety Stock.
  • Manage part classification with emphasis on "A" level SKU's.
  • Main interface with Sales.

    • Managing customer backlog & promotion opportunities
    • Product gap analysis and recovery plans.
    • Overall communication with product availability.


  • Ownership of FG inventory levels.
  • Provide necessary input to the SIOP team.
  • Aptitude for independent decision making in a complex manufacturing environment.


Job Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain or related field or eight years of professional planning experience.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills for facilitating relationships with internal customers and decision makers.
  • Must be a creative and practical problem solver.
  • Must possess a solid understanding of business processes and functional inter-relationships.
  • Must have outstanding oral and written communication skills for preparing and presenting reports and projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • In-depth knowledge of managing ERP systems.
  • Be a flexible individual capable of dealing with multiple priorities with competing deadlines.
