The Opportunity at Hand
The role of the Travel & Expense Finance Intern is an integral member of the Finance team adding value through assisting with T&E policies, procedures and systematic support.
Projects & Tasks
- Learn about New Era T&E Policy, Exposure to Concur Procurement & Expense system, SAP ERP system, ability to navigate and utilize NE World
- Participate in Onboarding/Orientation with New Hires
- Assist with Onboarding Presentation - Review PowerPoint Deck and recommend changes and edits to existing materials
- Collaborate with Manager of T&E Systems, members of HR, Treasury, Procurement & various Departments who have T&E needs
- Familiarize and Refresh SOP's regarding our Travel Policy
- Create "How-to' Recordings to support end-users who experience common T&E obstacles
- Research ways to utilize AI to enhance current policies, procedures and trainings
- Organize T&E Policies and Procedures, SOPs in a digestible format for End Users
- Update Orientation Materials and Onboarding Program for Concur and Corporate Card Users
- Keep all sensitive matters confidential
- Other projects as assigned
What you will need to make an impact
- Strong computer skills required including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and the ability to learn and utilize new systems as needed
- Meticulous attention to detail and organization
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to establish relationships and interact with various levels within the organization
- Proven verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally via phone, email and in person
- Strong public speaking, group presentation, interpersonal and persuasion skills required
- Ability to respond quickly to changing circumstances by being flexible and execute accordingly
- Ability to innovate and enhance existing solutions
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and positive person who manages change with urgency and persistence
- SAP experience a plus but not required
- Concur experience a plus but not required
- Experience utilizing AI tools a plus (i.e., ChatGPT)
- Quick learner who can assimilate systems, processes and procedures quickly
Education and Experience
- Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program within Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related field

This role is 100% in-person and requires on-site attendance five days a week at our Headquarters building located in downtown Buffalo. The hourly rate for this posted position is $17/hr. and pertains to candidates located in Western New York. Compensation is determined by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, essential job duties and requirements, and necessary experience.
