About the Role Assume software development leadership of TRSS's ScoutFocus - a leading-edge graph visualization and analysis tool grounded in very large graph data sets. The position will require engagement with functional and technical teams across TRSS to understand and drive value and growth of the product relative to strategic business objectives. The role will interface with internal and external stakeholders to ensure we continue to deliver a workable solution that meets customer requirements and technical capabilities. The position requires a proactive, mission-oriented person who strives to produce the best possible work for customers and stakeholders - internal and external. Further required activities include, but are not limited to:
- Deliver: You will be accountable for planning and executing well-managed deliverables, with performance measured relative to data organization and enterprise KPIs.
- Develop: You will drive the strategic roadmap of ScoutFocus that aligns with long term technical and business vision.
- Collaborate: Working on a collaborative cross-functional team, you will share information, value diverse ideas, and partner effectively with colleagues across the enterprise and elevate and mentor teammates.
- Innovate: You will be empowered to try new approaches and learn new technologies. Understand usage patterns and user feedback to drive development and adoption of ScoutFocus and other initiatives.
- Inspire: You will be a proactive communicator who is excited to share your work. You will be articulate and compelling in describing ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences. You will help lead the way in driving adaptation of ScoutFocus within TRSS and with external clients.
- The position requires advanced technical knowledge and leadership skills to actively guide ScoutFocus development within the broader TRSS organization, including data warehousing and exploration, data quality, and technical and information architecture.
About You You're a good fit for the role of Technical Product Manager if you have:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, technology management or related field - relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
- 3+ years experience in working as a software development/technical lead (or equivalent role)
- Advanced proficiency in Java, SQL, and a variety of current front-end/UI frameworks
- A deep knowledge of graph databases, or extensive experience with graph-like work in relational databases (Snowflake a strong preference).
- Bonus: Understanding and experience with Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing concepts and technologies.
- A rich experience as a technical leader, leading aspects of the following:

- presenting and demonstrating software to clients and executive leadership

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations.
For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $116,900 - $217,100.
This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
