Under the direction of the Executive Director of Financial Aid & Scholarships, this position works to maintain accuracy within the awarding of federal student aid funds. Adheres to federal, state and institutional policy concerning financial aid and scholarships. This position verifies general student FAFSA requirements and ensures all requirements are fulfilled before awarding financial aid. Responsibilities

- Review FAFSA verification documents to determine completeness and eligibility for financial aid.
- Process and verify student financial aid files within CampusLogic and in accordance with federal and institutional guidelines; submit accurate FAFSA corrections when required.
- Meet with students when they are having trouble completing the verification requirements needed to complete their financial aid application.
- Run daily Banner (the University's operating system) job submissions for the processing, awarding, and disbursement of student financial aid. Complete daily Banner reports to ensure student files are up-to-date.
- Advise students and parents concerning financial aid eligibility guidelines and programs.
- Manage all federal student loan processing, adjustments and return of loan funds; responsible for reconciling all student loan funds.
- Demonstrate integrity and ethical behavior in working with confidential information and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Interpret, apply, and comply with federal, state, and institutional regulations governing student financial aid; maintain current working knowledge of guidelines/regulations relating to financial aid.
- Serve as a member of the financial aid operations team and assist other staff members with projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in related field required.
- Experience with government rules, regulations, guidelines, and procedures relating to financial aid.
- Strong understanding and working ability in automated computer systems required; Banner or CampusLogic experience preferred.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality pertaining to student information and records.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and be able to enter data correctly and precisely at all times.
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and accounting skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and the public.

POSITION DETAILS, COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:Full-time overtime-exempt staff position. Annual salary of $45,000-$47,000 depending on qualifications and experience. Desired start date of April/May 2025.
