Overview The Technical Specialist will act as the primary technical resource for MDMS operations, leading a team to ensure consistent business data delivery. They will manage daily operations and exception handling to meet service level requirements, oversee the planning, development, testing, and implementation of MDMS and AMI Architecture enhancements, and ensure modifications are fully operational, including automation and exception management. Additionally, they will troubleshoot application issues, execute data workarounds, resolve delivery problems, and develop and refine reporting tools for managing MDMS data activities, including delivery, provisioning, management, error handling, and system configuration. Responsibilities Core Responsibilities Job title: Technical Specialist AMI Meter Data Management System Location: Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc. - New York, New York Function as primary AMI Operations technical resource in relation to all operational matters related to the MDMS. Provide day-to-day operational support of MDMS to ensure delivery of business data is sustained. Engage with daily operation and exception management activities to ensure all service level delivery requirements are met. Coordinate team members working to support the planning, development, testing and implementation of enhancements, modifications and maintenance of the MDMS and AMI Architecture. Ensure that the modifications made to the MDMS are fully operational both from the automation and exception management processes. Engage with application troubleshooting when defects are identified, execute data workarounds, and resolve business delivery issues. Develop and refine business reporting and tools necessary to manage all MDMS data activities related to data delivery, device provisioning, data management, error handling and administrative management of system configuration. Monitor Oracle database and troubleshoot, resolve issues, monitor alert log, and trace files. Provide analysis and capacity planning for database growth. Work closely with Oracle Platinum Support and Oracle Advance Customer Support Teams in maintaining the environment. Partial telecommuting permitted 2 days per week. Qualifications Required Education/Experience Bachelor's Degree Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related technical field and 5 years of experience in the position offered or related. Relevant Work Experience Must have 5 years of experience providing operations support for EnergyIP (EIP) MDMS architecture, including data management, security, cloning and patching, billing, meter data processing, real time framework, and supporting EIP on Oracle 19c database with multi-org architecture, required. Must have 5 years of experience utilizing Oracle Database Administrator for various ASRs generated by platinum gateway for hardware issues, such as Grid disk and flash card, related to Exadata and ZDLRA, required. Must have 5 years of experience installing Oracle GoldenGate, including configuration and troubleshooting issues, required. Must have 5 years of experience performing daily backups and recovery of databases utilizing Oracle ZDLRA and Oracle RMAN, required. Must have 5 years of experience upgrading and migrating databases from Legacy versions to new versions which must include: Oracle 10 to 11g, Oracle 11g to Oracle 12c and Oracle 12c to Oracle 19c; implementing ETL process, Oracle Streams, and MV Replication, required. Must have 5 years of experience using database security compliance auditing and SQL Loader to bulk data from flat files, required. Must have 5 years of experience configuring standby databases/Data Guard for OLTP, required. Must have 5 years of experience working with OEM Grid Control, TOAD, and Decision Support Systems (DSS) Data Warehouse environments in Oracle 11g/10g, required. Must have 5 years of experience installing, configuring, and monitoring ASM enabled 10g/11g RAC and single instance databases, required. Must have 5 years of experience capacity planning and space monitoring, including tablespace growth and ASM disk space, required. Must have 5 years of experience exporting and importing data using Datapump and TTS, required. Must have 5 years of experience data modeling, including physical and logical database design using ERWIN data modeler, required.
