Service Engineering Specialist

* * Performs repairs, calibrations and maintenance tasks of routine difficulty.

* * Performs periodic inspection and safety testing of low to medium complexity biomedical instrumentation including but is not limited to:

* Physical Therapy Equipment

* Infusion/Syringe/Feeding Pumps

* Telemetry Systems

* General Lab Equipment (i.e Centrifuges)

* Nurse Call Systems

* General Patient Care Equipment

* * Documents all testing, maintenance and repair work according to departmental procedures. Helps to maintain a current database inventory of hospital biomedical equipment and service histories of equipment

* * Participates in the installation of new equipment.

* * Makes recommendations regarding stocking of parts and acquisition of test equipment

* * Contacts vendors and suppliers as necessary.

* * Performs other job related duties required.

* Performs related duties as required.

* Reports to Clinical Engineering and/or Biomedical Program Manager.

*ADA Essential Functions

Associate Degree in Electronics or equivalent combination of education, required.

* Minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience, required.

* Knowledge of analog, digital and electromechanical skills and knowledge of test instrumentation.
