The CAD Engineer for Vehicle Occupant Packaging (VOP) will define parameters and standards of critical systems & integrated into CAD design templates. The main activities include: Overall vehicle layout of SAE packaging manikins Application of VOP CAD templates to targeted programs Competitive benchmarking Lead establishment of vehicle hardpoint dimensional targets for spaciousness, exterior visibility, ingress/egress, ground clearance Package feasibility studies, working with Design Office Evaluation of program status vs targets, including report outs and issue resolution Ensure programs meet pertinent federal & international compliance for driver-based vision and dimensional requirements Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degree field 3 or more years of CAD modeling with Siemens NX 2 or more years of Parametric CAD Modeling with Siemens NX 3 or more years of (Automotive) Engineering Experience Strong English-Speaking skills, ability to plan, coordinate and execute meetings and projects Strong Engineering Design Project Presentation skills required MS Office proficient Preferred Skills: 2 or more years of Occupant Packaging and/or overall vehicle dimensioning experience 5 or more years of CAD Parametric Modeling with Siemens NX
