Carnegie Mellon University: College of Engineering: Integrated Innovation Institute (III) Location Pittsburgh, PA Open Date Mar 03, 2025 Description The Integrated Innovation Institute (III) at Carnegie Mellon University seeks an adjunct professor for our Engineering Design Methods & Tools course during the fall 2025 term. This required course is part of the Engineering Design, Innovation & Entrepreneurship (EDIE) additional major for undergraduate students within the College of Engineering. Course Description: 49-306 - Engineering Design Methods & Tools This course will teach engineering design methods and tools from concept to realization. Topics include prototyping, design constraints, material selections, testing, design for production, and manufacturability. The course will address systems design, physical embodiment, and interaction design. Along with the qualifications below, the final candidate will be available to teach in person from 12:30 to 1:50 PM on Mondays and Wednesdays from late August to late October 2025. This will provide class time for students within a campus maker space for hands-on resources. Successful candidates will demonstrate the following:
