This role involves complex financial analysis, budget forecasting, overseeing accounts, and making strategic financial decisions to ensure long-term growth. The ideal candidate will also handle some accounting tasks to support the team effectively. Strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a high level of integrity are essential. Duties and Responsibilities * Direct and monitor all financial activity of the organization. * Manage company cash flow, profitability, and financial controls to optimize business operations. * Outline and implement company-wide budget plans. * Lead and execute month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement reviews. * Prepare company financial statements monthly and annually, as needed. * Conduct internal and external audits to ensure accuracy in financial records by identifying and correcting errors. Use data analysis to strategically forecast financial trends. * Work with and advise the investment team on solid financial decision making to increase profits and minimize losses. * Provide strategic financial planning advice to upper management for long-term growth. * Supervise and manage accounting functions and team, including accounts payable/receivable, and tax compliance. Analyze and interpret financial data and present the information with reports and presentations to the Board and shareholders. * Stay abreast of current market trends and patterns and act accordingly. * Assess company spendings and work to reduce costs. * Oversee banking and treasury functions, including debt structuring and cash investing. * Have a clear understanding of and adhere to current laws and regulations. Essential Knowledge and Skills: * Extensive experience in the financial sector with a strong financial vision and insight to match. * Strong leadership and team management skills, with ability to collaborate across departments. Use problem-solving skills to identify issues and recommend solutions. * Utilize knowledge of industry, sustainability, and environmental markets and products to identify new opportunities and innovative solutions that will enhance service offerings. Key Attributes: * 5+ years' experience in a senior finance position, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. * MBA or CPA preferred. * Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and other business software. Deltek VantagePoint or similar project-based ERP software experience a plus. * Extremely knowledgeable in accounting principles and financial data analysis. * Strong interpersonal skills with the propensity to successfully foster new and maintain long-standing business relationships. * Excellent communication skills, both orally and written; skilled in the art of negotiation. * Ability to multitask, prioritize and delegate responsibilities in an effective and efficient manner. * High level of integrity and commitment to ethical financial practices. * Expert problem solver, analytical thinker, and decision-maker. * Possess strong leadership skills and business acumen.
