Pharmacy Intern

Inova Retail and Specialty Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Intern to join the team. This role will be PRN various shifts.

Pharmacy Intern Job Responsibilities:

Under the Pharmacist supervision:

• Performs all aspects of medication distribution.
• Manages medication inventory.
• Maintains Automated Dispensing Machine.
• Performs monthly pharmacy inspections per policies/procedures.
• Participates in patient care.
• Participates in department quality improvements projects.
• Develops skills and knowledge base necessary to practice as a pharmacist.

Pharmacy Intern Additional Requirements:

• Work schedule: shift varies (days/evenings rotating shift.)
• Education: High School or GED and enrolled in Pharmacy School.
• Licensure: State of Virginia Pharmacy Technician license or a Pharmacy Intern license.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire.
