About the Role:

As a senior consultant - project manager in the Policy and Program Strategic Solutions Practice, you will collaborate with team members to conceptualize, deliver, and support our clients through today's ever-changing healthcare landscape. NYSTEC is considered a trusted advisor, providing subject matter expertise and connecting the dots for our clients. NYSTEC has consulted on some of the largest Medicaid initiatives and served in various roles across a multitude of New York State healthcare technology systems.

Your day-to-day role as a NYSTEC consultant will include supporting the Office of Health Insurance Programs' (OHIP) Division of Data Services and Analytics (DDSA). As a project manager, you will provide project planning, coordinate work efforts, demonstrate problem-solving skills, and lead stakeholder communication to support our client's strategic initiatives portfolio.

For this role, you will be required to attend in-person meetings at the client site at a minimum of once every two weeks and at the NYSTEC office once a week.


Key Responsibilities

  • Create key project documentation.
  • Plan agendas and schedule meetings.
  • Update presentation materials.
  • Capture meeting minutes.
  • Organize action items, risks, and issues.
  • Assist with project quality management.
  • Track project timelines and progress.
  • Prioritize projects and competing priorities.
  • Work closely with the project team and external stakeholders to ensure that key project milestones are achieved in a timely manner.
  • Manage and coordinate data products, such as datamarts and databoards.
  • Coordinate bureau activities and priorities with the bureau and unit directors.
  • Communicate and coordinate with stakeholders to provide updates, trainings, etc.


About You:
Required Qualifications

  • Strong writing, documentation, communication, and analytical skills to meet project goals.
  • Experience as a project coordinator or project manager.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Demonstrated organization and planning skills.
  • Ability to develop relationships with stakeholders and understand their needs through excellent listening and effective written and verbal communication.


Preferred/Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working on information technology projects.
  • Experience working on healthcare projects.


Education and Experience

  • A bachelor's degree and three years of related experience. An equivalent combination of advanced education, training, and experience will be considered.


The pay range for this position is $79,793.00 to $109,716.00 per year.
