The PSC II for the Psychiatry Infusion Clinic is a per diem, weekday evening position reporting to the Administrative Manager of Procedural Services. This position is expected to fulfill the administrative needs for the clinicians in the clinic, including patient check-in, payment collection, infusion scheduling, and other administrative and organizational tasks as needed. He or she will serve as the face of the clinic and will ensure smooth clinical operations. This position requires discretion and professionalism, as well as experience with and sensitivity to the psychiatric patient population.
Patient Check-In, Scheduling, and Payment Collection
- Greet patients and families and welcome to the clinic
- Process self-pay payments according to protocol and before checking patient in
- Manage patient check-in within EPIC and let patients know that an infusion nurse will be with them shortly
- Keep track of patients who "no show" to a scheduled infusion appointment and email to Clinic Director at the end of each shift
- Call patients scheduled for the next clinic session to confirm their upcoming infusion appointment
- Schedule and reschedule patient appointments as needed
Clinic Administration
- Work closely and collaboratively with the clinic's Medical Director, psychiatrists, infusion nurses, and anesthesiologists
- Assist in proper handling and filing of patient consent forms when necessary
- Maintain clinic calendar in Outlook that denotes which psychiatrist, anesthesiologist, nurse, and PSC is scheduled to work each clinic session
- Maintain clinic staff contact list including pagers, work and mobile numbers
- Update and maintain vital documents in the shared drive
- Provide assistance to patients and families and answer questions as needed
- Help maintain a warm and caring clinic environment
- Other administrative tasks and projects as assigned
The Psychiatric Infusion Clinic operates evenings, from 5:00 PM until 10:00 PM and Saturdays 8:30AM - 12:30PM. PSCII Schedule: Per Diem, as needed, 1-3 shifts per month Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required

Licenses and Credentials Certified Medical Administrative Assistant [CMAA] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred
Experience office experience 2-3 years required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Proficiency with all Office Suite, Knowledge of office operations and standards and understanding of office procedures including filing, copying, scanning, printing and faxing. - Ability to use phone system and manage more non-routine phone calls and solve routine issues as appropriate. - Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience and talking to others to convey information effectively. - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents, to correspond and communicate with others clearly and effectively (including composing/editing e-mail, memos and letters), and to take complete and accurate messages. - Managing one's own time and the time of others. - Well organized and good time management skills to manage multiple tasks effectively, follow established protocols, and work within systems.
