Principal Corporate Counsel: Supply Chain

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Cisco Global Sourcing & Supply Chain legal team directly supporting the Global Procurement Services business. We are looking for a fun, creative teammate, hungry to dive into a wide variety of hands on work to help drive the business forward. We're looking for someone who can:

• Draft, review, revise, and negotiate complex commercial agreements to enable customer success and meet Cisco goals, including a broad range of software and cloud agreements;
• Develop close working relationships with internal stakeholders as well as have a deep understanding of our go-to-market strategies, business processes, and product offerings;
• Provide excellent business judgment, advocating for acceptable legal risk to enable business outcomes;
• Be recognized as expert in role by internal clients;
• Assist in the continuous improvement of standard form agreements and the legal playbook; and
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills with colleagues, clients, and customers, including the ability to explain complex issues and positions.

• Bar admission in any jurisdiction with good standing, with a minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience at a law firm and/or in-house (the ideal candidate will have both law firm and in-house experience).
• Expertise in negotiating and drafting complex software contracts and contractual dispute resolution.
• Familiarity with legal issues related to procurement, supplier onboarding and supply chain management.

• Knowledge of cloud-based providers, artificial intelligence and other technology solutions;
• Experience with data privacy such as GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy laws, as well as as-a-service offerings. CIPP/E certification is a plus.
