AR Analyst/Deductions

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Research and resolve wholesale deductions related to shortage claims, delivery verification, pricing differences, damages, remaining balances, promotional allowances, and unknown chargebacks
  • Verify deduction validity by reviewing customer documentation and identifying root causes
  • Dispute deductions with customers in a timely manner, including through customer portals
  • Work with cross-functional teams to reduce recurring deductions by identifying root causes
  • Serve as liaison between customers and internal teams (Operations, Sales, Customer Service) to clear chargebacks/deductions promptly
  • Collaborate with Collections team through weekly meetings to secure repayment of denied chargebacks
  • Provide detailed reports to Account Managers and conduct monthly meetings to improve deduction resolution
  • Create and maintain detailed weekly/monthly reports for leadership
  • Update customer tracking spreadsheets and documentation in Microsoft D365
  • Assist with testing project implementations and onboarding new business lines
  • Work on-site four days per week

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1-3 years of experience in deductions, dispute resolution, or collections in a B2B environment
  • Understanding of accounting concepts (account reconciliation, debits/credits, AR processes)
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions
  • Strong analytical and organizational abilities
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with coworkers and customers at all levels
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines
  • Proficiency navigating customer online portals
  • Effective professional communication skills
  • Experience analyzing large data sets and making data-driven decisions
  • Ability to handle work demands, deadlines, and interruptions
