Primary Purpose: We are seeking a highly skilled Manager, Financial Reporting to join our Corporate Accounting team. This role contributes to Norfolk Southern's success by ensuring the proper recording of accounting transactions, and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting while maintaining compliance with GAAP, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Surface Transportation Board (STB) regulations. Reporting directly to the Director of Corporate Accounting, this position plays a key role in preparing and analyzing financial statements, supporting external filings, and driving process improvements in financial reporting. In addition, this position assists internal and/or external auditors with periodic auditing of the organization's financial records and statements.
