About the Job

As a Medical Information Specialist, you will leverage your medical librarian training to assist medical and strategy teams with research, uncovering clinical, scientific, market, and competitive intelligence information. You'll use multiple databases and reference materials to conduct research and literature reviews, maintaining internal digital libraries and resources. You will demonstrate a deep understanding of research tools and modalities, while you'll gain visibility with medical and strategy staff, develop essential connections with internal clients, and support new business pitches through medical research efforts.

A Day in the Life

  • Identify and access relevant medical and scientific information for clients and projects.
  • Utilize specialized databases, including Datamonitor, Biomedtracker, and Pharmaprojects.
  • Provide accurate and timely reports on congress activity and literature searches.
  • Collaborate with medical and strategy staff on projects and establish vendor relationships.
  • Assist in KOL identification and recruitment, and maintain related databases.
  • Develop and maintain resources, including Med 101s and KOL assets, to support business development.

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor's degree, with a Master's degree in Library and Information Science (MLS) or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in medical and scientific fields, with agency experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, with ability to express ideas clearly and accurately, and present capabilities to medical departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, with basic research skills and ability to navigate specialized databases (e.g. PubMed, Datamonitor, GlobalData).
  • Ability to manage purchase orders, work with finance, and complete timesheets accurately and on time.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively in a team.

Salary
$75,000 to $95,000 annually.
The salary range for this position is noted within this job posting.
