ATC has an opening for an experienced, hands-on Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join its high reliability space and aerospace electronics quality assurance department in Chelmsford, MA. This role offers a unique opportunity to work hands-on with high reliability space and aerospace electronics in a dynamic team environment.



ATC designs, develops and produces high reliability, advanced technology RF and optical systems and payloads, digital processors and controllers and power systems for NASA, DoD, other agencies and the space and aerospace community.


Responsibilities:



  • Oversee and implement the quality assurance activities supporting the manufacture, test and shipment of high reliability advanced technology systems, payloads and units.


  • Work closely with manufacturing, quality assurance, test engineering, program managers, design engineering and material control in the resolution of design, manufacturing, quality assurance and test related issues, failures and non-conformances.


  • Work closely with customers and suppliers during reviews, audits and test events, conduct supplier surveys and source inspections, and support customer source inspections.


  • Review Test Procedures and reports, witness tests and verify the completeness and accuracy of design, manufacturing and test documentation.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience, and a minimum of twelve years' experience in quality assurance engineering of high reliability space and aerospace electronics.


  • Experience with the manufacturing requirements and inspection criteria of J-STD-001, IPC-610 and/or NASA 8739 using the NASA/ IPC Space Addendum manufacturing processes, and related training and education.


  • Experience with ISO 9001 and AS9110 certification and audit requirements and programs.


  • US citizenship is required
