Supply Chain Buyer

Acara Solutions has an opening for a Supply Chain Buyer in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA for an aerospace company.

The Buyer role is integral to managing procurement activities to ensure the timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services. This dynamic position requires exceptional organizational, negotiation, and analytical skills, along with a strong ability to collaborate across departments to meet production schedules and project goals. As buyers progress through levels I to III, responsibilities expand from entry-level purchasing tasks to managing complex supplier relationships and strategic sourcing initiatives.

The Buyer is responsible for sourcing, procuring, and managing supply chain operations to support production schedules and organizational goals.

Key responsibilities include:

* Assisting with procurement from intent to purchase through delivery.

* Negotiating pricing and terms to achieve optimal cost, quality, and schedule needs.

* Managing purchase orders and ensuring supplier compliance with contractual terms.

* Conducting market research to identify cost-saving opportunities.

* Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, business unit management, and account management, to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

* Evaluating supplier performance and driving improvement initiatives.

* Resolving AP/AR issues and maintaining procurement records in compliance with company policies.

* Proposal evaluation including price reasonableness, sole sourcing, competitive bid, and Truth cost or Price Data act

Pay rate: $35/hr

Duration: 6 months

Job Requirements

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Syteline)Computer skills: Outlook, Word, Excel, PDF, Teams, and online training capabilities.

* Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills.

* Sound judgment, analytical abilities, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

* Experience with procurement software and contract negotiation.

* Comprehends bills of materials, drawings, engineering change notices, engineering orders, etc. enough to identify any errors or required changes to ensure effective request for proposals and quotes.

High School Diploma
