Master Scheduler

What is the Position?

Reports to the Planning Manager and is responsible for developing, managing, and coordinating production schedules to ensure that manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently. The role involves collaboration with various departments to ensure materials, resources, and manpower are available when needed and that production targets are met on time.

What are the key responsibilities?



  • Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer demand, inventory levels, and production capacity.
  • Collaborate with the production, procurement, and inventory teams to ensure alignment between materials, staffing, and equipment availability.
  • Analyze production trends, customer forecasts, and historical data to optimize production efficiency and capacity planning.
  • Ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained, minimizing stockouts or overstocking, and work closely with the supply chain team to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Track and report on the status of production orders, resolve scheduling conflicts, and ensure timelines are met.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the scheduling system and production workflow to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Plan for resource allocation, ensuring adequate manpower, machinery, and raw materials are available as needed.
  • Ensure that all production schedules comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Prepare and provide reports to senior management on scheduling and production performance metrics.
  • Address and resolve any scheduling issues or production delays, working to minimize downtime and ensure on-time deliveries.


Qualifications Required

Bachelor's Degree along with a minimum of 3 to 5 year's related experience.
Experience with Oracle MRP/ERP or similar system and proficiency in MS Office Word, Outlook and Excel
