Job Summary

Responsible for the procurement of process equipment, construction and professional services of Capital Expenditure Projects (CAPEX)

Job Responsibilities

  • Obtain all the necessary information for the bidding process
  • Coordinate with Legal and Risk Management on final contractual terms
  • Coordinate bid process and pre-bid meetings schedule
  • Prepare and send bid packages for quotation
  • Major vendors evaluation and assessment
  • Bid analysis and recommendation
  • Negotiation of commercial terms: price, LDs, guarantees, warranties, payment terms, delivery time
  • Contract execution with vendors
  • Generate purchase orders in our ERP
  • Monitor and follow up the development of the project according to the contractual terms
  • Provide support to Accounting department to resolve payment discrepancies
  • Report savings obtained through negotiations
  • Establishing procedures for CAPEX Procurement and Plant Procurement personnel to assist in coordinating the group's efforts on capital projects
  • Responsible for reporting to Procurement and Technical management on current activities and status of all projects and contracts
  • On major projects, coordinate and manage CAPEX negotiators and expeditor

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in engineering projects for manufacturing companies (contractual side)
  • Building materials industry experience preferred
  • Familiarity with the purchasing process preferred
  • Knowledge of organizing and maintaining spreadsheets
  • Experience in effectively managing both internal and external relationships with cross-functional groups andsuppliers
  • CPSM certification preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • SAP experience preferred
  • Proficient with MS Word and Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to listen and persuade others

Working Conditions

Capable of working in an open concept office environment

Physical Requirements

  • Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree
  • Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently
  • Job involves sitting most of the time, but also involves walking or standing for brief periods of time
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors
