Job Summary

The PD Production Manager oversees PD production activities, ensuring efficient and sustainable manufacturing solutions for new products. This role drives timely product delivery, fosters innovation, and promotes continuous improvement. Proactively and effectively communicates with Executives, PD Leadership, and cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with company objectives. Leads the PD Production team in identifying risks, ensuring compliance with manufacturing standards and streamlining processes for successful product commercialization while preserving the original design intent. By enhancing operational efficiency and cross-functional collaboration, the PD Production Manager plays a critical role in advancing PD success and manufacturing readiness.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

*Responsible for the overall leadership, direction and evaluation of Associates in assigned PD Production department.

*Responsible for the delivery of Product Development (PD) packages to Product Launch (PL) to ensure consistent on-time delivery per catalog event.

*Overseas engineering changes within Start and Finish Shops to ensure quality and productivity yields meet expectations.

*Evaluates the complexity of new products against manufacturing process capabilities and leads team to establish / test new processes and ensure successful handoff to manufacturing for launch phase.

*Utilizes analytical tools to implement necessary changes in new items, with a developed understanding of a products proportion, space relationship, positive and negative space and overall design intent.

*Collaborates with project scheduling and PMO team and overseas the management of equipment up time to ensure department production capability is met.

*Develop documentation standards to ensure all critical information is gathered and properly documented, implemented and maintained.

*Participating in Concurrent Engineering activities, assessing/correcting root cause defects in developmental stages.

*Overseas PD's role in continuous improvement projects and actively supports concurrent engineering initiatives.

*Participates and provides support to the safety committee, its designees, projects, training and directives.

*Works with PMO Team and cross functional teams to ensure metric alignment, standardization, and process alignment to hand off successful packages to product launch for manufacturing.

*Effectively manages multiple projects concurrently.

*Overseas and acts as primary approver for PD Samples and PL Approvals.

*Performs additional duties and assists with other initiatives or projects as assigned by Leadership.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

*Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, Material Science, Metal Arts or related field; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

*5 years' experience in product development, jewelry fabrication, manufacturing, engineering or similar work.

*Supervisory, managerial or leadership experience.

*Experience demonstrating effective leadership and communication skills.

*Advanced critical thinking with effective problem-solving skills.

*Advanced proficiency in Microsoft (MS) Office applications including MS Excel data sorting, analysis, formulas, and spreadsheet design.

*Effective organizational and planning skills with strong attention to detail.

*Aptitude for managing project uncertainties and associated risks.

*Ability to travel to various work locations as business need requires.

Preferred Qualifications

*Lean Six Sigma training, Green Belt or Black Belt certification.

*Knowledge of general manufacturing and business operations and key manufacturing resources planning theories and principles including continuous improvement methods.

*Strong use of analytical and CAD software to execute job tasks and projects.
