A Brief Overview
Responsible for the timely and accurate data entry for all Radiology Procedures. These activities include but are not limited to the batching and data input of all related services, maintenance of daily report files and batch logs and total monthly charges by division. This position requires an understanding of physician billing relating to Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care- HMO's and all other third party billing; in addition to, proficiency in data entry on a computerized billing system.

What you will do

  • Systematically review, batch and data enter all services.
  • Batch all services by billing area, completing Charge Batch Headers, verifying Hash and Charge Totals.
  • Review Batch Proofs, system totals and billing area information matching patient records to charge entry run for all services.
  • Complete charge entry process accurately and timely 100% of the time.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of current systems and corresponding fields within the charge entry process.
  • Process charge corrections.
  • FSC all anesthesia records, assisting with the case count as needed.
  • Maintain reconciliation of daily and month to date report files by division.
  • Review/reconcile all daily reports with charge entry totals.
  • Review daily batch logs.
  • Communicate all concerns with manager.
  • Monitor Electronic Claims Submission Reports.
  • Reconcile the status of ECS Acknowledged and Accepted Claims Reports with the status of the same claims in BAR/IDX.
  • Identify trends and/or problems with submission runs/payors.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education Qualifications

  • High School Diploma / GED Required

Experience Qualifications

  • At least two (2) years experience in the medical field Required
  • At least two (2) years experience in the medical field with a physician Preferred
