As a Benefit Guidance and Outreach Navigator, you will be essential in growing G.E.H.A membership by educating our prospective members about G.E.H.A Health plan offerings and guiding them through health plan selection. This position is also responsible for conducting outreach to our consumers, members, and prospective members about available benefits, ensuring they understand and how to navigate their policies.

Duties and Responsibilities
Drives membership growth by providing consultation and navigation about G.E.H.A medical and dental plans to newly hired or newly eligible postal and federal employees and retirees. Supports consumers via mix of virtual and direct to consumer channels, like video conferencing, phone, chat, email, and attend/host in-person events. Conducts virtual presentations, new employee orientations and conferences throughout the year to groups of federal employees on G.E.H.A medical and dental plans. Topics may include new hire benefits and retiree benefits related to Medicare. Fields inbound calls from ABOs regarding request for materials and/or events Via outbound calling pursues and engages with qualified leads/prospective members and ABO's for Open Season support Provides support, conducting outreach educating our members and prospects about available benefits, ensuring they understand and how to navigate their policies. Supports various projects, events, and outreach activities, including community events, workshops, and other prospect and member engagement opportunities. Captures and documents all consultation details in systems in compliance with training, quality metrics and conflict of interest standards. Upholds G.E.H.A Core Values; Embraces, promotes, and engages in other membership growth, retention related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Associate's degree in healthcare, business, nonprofit, or related fields, additional years of relevant work experience maybe considered in lieu of formal education. Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience (e.g., customer service, education, public speaking, managing details, outreach, health care, social work) in health insurance or similar healthcare setting. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to perform tasks ranging from basic to moderately complex. Outstanding verbal and written communications skills required. Must be able to work remotely and independently, as well as the ability to collaborate with members of a team. Must be dependable and adaptive to change and meet deadlines. Requires strong diligence and effective time management skills.

The annual base salary range for this position is $50,298 - $70,902 USD.
