Program begins June 9, 2025 and will conclude August 15, 2025

As a DevOps Intern, you will be part of a team that manages Azure DevOps at GEHA. You will assist in creating and maintaining DevOps pipelines for the SDLC process and building workflow templates that other divisions can adopt. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with key DevOps technologies and gain hands-on experience in automating and streamlining development workflows across the organization.

Key Duties

  • Assist with daily incident requests related to Azure DevOps.
  • Assist in the management and maintenance of platforms Azure Pipelines, Repos and releases.
  • Support the creation of workflow templates and DevOps toolchains to enhance the SDLC process for various divisions.
  • Collaborate with the team to automate infrastructure and Azure pipeline processes.
  • Develop scripts using PowerShell, Python, and similar languages for process automation.
  • Work with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure for deploying and managing infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Foundation of basic scripting, Python, PowerShell
  • Foundation of in Cloud platforms
  • Experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines and Automation
  • Understanding of Version Control
  • Basic understanding of Azure Services like, App Services, Virtual Machines, Storage
  • Develop and maintain documentation
  • Potential Projects
  • Implement Azure Logic Apps for ADO related notifications
  • Update direct assignments in groups to Entra AD

Additional Requirements

  • 3.0 overall GPA
  • Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Good analytical skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Demonstrated initiative both independently and within a team
  • Proficient in Excel, Outlook and Word

Work-at-home requirements

  • Must have the ability to provide a non-cellular High Speed Internet Service such as Fiber, DSL, or cable Modems for a home office.
  • A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 30x5 (30mpbs download x 5mpbs upload) is required.
  • Latency (ping) response time lower than 80 ms
  • Hotspots, satellite and wireless internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
  • A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. GEHA considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.

The annual base salary range for this position is $43,160 - $60,840 USD.
