Job Description
  • Model and be an advocate for excellent customer service practices
  • Assist job seekers in finding the right pathway within the WorkSource Center
  • Direct customers to appropriate programs and services within the WorkSource
  • Under the direction of the Supervisor, may provide a leadership role for the Talent Development Specialist Team
  • May continue to do the functions of a Talent Development Specialist with some additional leadership duties
  • Collaborate within integrated team settings and meetings within the WorkSource
  • Accurately record eligibility, enrollment, assessment, services, and placement information within tracking systems
  • Assist the supervisor with quality checking the teams work such as eligibility, enrollment, launch pad, and services
  • Assist the team with data entry and case management questions
  • Assist the team with quick hires
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree OR 2+ years of related work experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (strong verbal communication, good listener, articulate, culturally sensitive and excellent written communication)
  • Demonstrated experience with workload management; plan and organize assignments to create timely, accurate work products
  • Demonstrated analytical skills to include using logic and reasoning to assess information, form logical conclusions, evaluate options, and make decisions or recommendations
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook
  • Knowledge of characteristics associated with unemployed, dislocated, and disadvantaged populations
  • Strong writing skills to include report writing.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with federal, state, and local regulations relating to employment and training programs including general knowledge of the workforce one-stop and partner programs and services
  • Experienced with working in a fast paced team environment
