Essential Job Duties |
The Executive Assistant's primary responsibility is to provide support with the following.
- Manage the Chair's calendar and coordinate meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Draft, revise, and distribute meeting agendas based on prior formats; facilitate meetings and take detailed notes.
- Collaborate with staff to plan and execute department events, including ordering food and managing setup and cleanup.
- Oversee project and task management for the Chair, ensuring up-to-date tracking of current, planned, and completed initiatives.
- Draft professional correspondence in alignment with higher education standards while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Organize and maintain departmental files and digital folders.
- Coordinate travel logistics for the Chair, including researching travel options, managing conference registrations, and submitting expense reports via Concur.
- Handle administrative tasks such as requesting parking permits and other departmental necessities.
- Liaise with internal and University-wide contacts to support administrative processes, including APT submissions, academic and student support, the Dean's Office, and central administrative offices.

Minimum Experience/Education |
High school diploma or equivalency and three years of progressively responsible administrative/office management experience; or Associate's degree in secretarial science, business administration, or a related discipline and one year of progressively responsible administrative/office management experience ; or Bachelor's degree, preferably in business administration or a related discipline; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
