Senior Sourcing Manager

Inova Health System is looking for a dedicated Strategic Sourcing Manager Sr to join the Supply Chain Management team. This role is Full-time working 8am-4:30pm Monday to Friday (Hybrid).

Strategic Sourcing Manager Sr Job Responsibilities:

Sourcing and procurement processes

• Drives consistency in sourcing and procurement processes within assigned service lines and participates in the strategic planning and the attainment of service line objectives.
• Analyzes and provides sourcing justification and pricing rationale based on data and facts to Strategic Sourcing Leadership for contract awards for products and services, including specifications, price structures, payment terms, risk/share arrangements, service requirements/penalties, and warranty coverage.
• Works collaboratively with all internal and external stakeholders to help ensure all sourcing efforts.

Effectiveness

• Is responsible for the advancement of clinical effectiveness, patient safety, quality of outcome, operating expense reduction, and overall cash preservation through the leadership and execution of industry best practices related to strategic sourcing strategies, methodologies, technologies, and processes.
• Values are achieved in savings or enhanced clinical outcomes.
• Improves operating efficiency and reduces operating costs for service lines by developing and implementing consistent contracts, purchasing processes, procedures, and programs.
• Develops and contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies, procedures, quality standards, and safety standards.
• Complies with Inova Health Systems policies and maintains a high standard of ethics regarding vendor relationships.
• Plans, implements, and monitors programs that focus on optimal, cost-effective use of supplies and services throughout the system.

Supply Chain responsibilities

• Manages projects, performs analytics, facilitates change management, and identifies process improvement initiatives across various phases of Supply Chain.
• Leads and coordinates Supply Chain's role and participation in service line value analysis and clinical practice group process, including meeting participation and milestones associated with sourcing in the Lumere tool.
• Provides supply chain representation as an executive liaison in service line meetings.
• Is responsible for information delivery strategy and execution of effective metrics and tools to identify and track critical Supply Chain performance measures.
• Provides supply chain information and metrics to support leadership decision-making.
• Provides advice and counsel to service line leadership for Supply Chain related programs.

Contracts

• Develops and executes complex contracts with key suppliers, applying consistent contractual terms and conditions.
• Responsible for updates to contracts and contract-related information.
• Responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the contracting database and contract worklists.

May perform additional duties as assigned.

Strategic Sourcing Manager Sr Additional Requirements:

• Work schedule: Full-time working 8am-4:30pm Monday to Friday.
• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Communications, Business
• Experience: 5 years of relevant work experience OR an equivalent combination of education and work experience with 3 years of supply chain, contract management or negotiating experience
