Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Sr. Service Analyst.

In this role, the successful Sr. Service Analyst focuses on preventing product shortages from occurring through overseeing the management of safety stock inventory levels and ensuring proactive supply chain planning. This role involves analyzing both external and internal data to forecast potential supply disruptions and developing strategies for seasonal or recurring disruptions. This position will work cross-functionally with supply chain teams to refine inventory control processes, create innovative reporting, and support the Operations Team in urgent product needs.In addition, the Sr. Service Analyst will oversee the safety stock committee, present key insights to management, and drive continuous improvement through root cause analysis and performance metrics. The role also includes contributing to the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training materials to maintain consistent execution across teams.This position requires strong analytical skills, cross-departmental collaboration, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Oversee the planning and management of safety stock inventory levels, including item additions, distribution, and expiration tracking.
  • Analyze external data sources to anticipate and plan for potential supply disruption
  • Develop strategies to address seasonal or recurring supply disruptions (e.g., flu season) and ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Analyzing data from suppliers and distributors on anticipated supply shortages and engaging with them.
  • Develop and refine inventory control processes, working cross-functionally with multiple supply chain teams.
  • Analyze internal data (e.g., purchase orders, inventory levels) to incorporate into safety stock inventory planning and optimization.
  • Create and implement new reporting mechanisms to support effective inventory management and decision-making.
  • Gaining support of other supply chain departments to align on impactful safety stock inventory decisions.
  • Oversight evolution of the safety stock committee.
  • Support the Operations Team, including serving as the backup to the reactionary- Sr. Service Analyst in solutioning products which are of immediate need.
  • Work closely with the broader OPI team to maintain consistent and accurate inventory alignment across departments.
  • Conduct root cause analysis as required to resolve supply chain issues and improve inventory processes.
  • Present key data and insights to upper management, highlighting areas for improvement and recommending actions.
  • Report out on key metrics and identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist in the development of SOPs and training materials to ensure consistent execution of inventory processes.
  • Contribute to and support special projects as needed.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's degree required with 3-5 years of relevant experience. Has a strong customer focus, a sense of urgency, and high level of accountability. Demonstrated ability to lead through problem management and resolution. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to upper management teams. Experienced in leading projects, and a strong history of working with cross functional partners. Comfortable analyzing data and presenting findings.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with supplier/end user relations and supply chain management technologies. Able to demonstrate a strong history of influencing cross-functional teams, both within supply chain, and with external partners. Project work experience. Experience working in fast-paced environments, and has a proven track record of adapting to evolving business needs.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $81,325.15 - $130,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
