About the Role: We are looking for a Skilled Trades Leader to join our Fabrics Team. This position will be located in a shared facility, housing process equipment for Gore Fabrics, Gore Medical Components and Gore Incubator. In this role, you will lead a team of Skilled Trades Associates in support of equipment across multiple teams and shifts that represent a diverse set of requirements, including regulated manufacturing, R&D and chemical processing. This role will be responsible for asset health across these capabilities while maintaining a strong relationship with Facilities Services to ensure ongoing stability of supply at the facility. This role will be located at our facility in Elkton, Maryland. Pay and Benefits:
- $100,000 - $130,000 per year

Responsibilities:
- Ensure the implementation of, and adherence to, systems and processes that meet environmental, health and safety requirements, inclusive of external regulations such as NFPA and OSHA. Leads with a "safety first" mindset
- Support the Quality Management System through active participation and leadership in standards that apply to the manufacturing and shop environments. Provide leadership, prioritization, and completion to standard for supporting processes that meet product, legal, and regulatory requirements of all products produced (e.g. - NC, calibration/PM completion, MOC, documentation, and equipment overall health)
- Effectively create, communicate, and hold the Skilled Trades team accountable to execute mid-range strategic plans that are developed to address the diverse stakeholder needs at the facility
- Utilize a systems and process approach to ensure all resources are reliably available (e.g. - staffing, machine uptime, utilities, and project execution)
- Enable an environment that supports a continuous improvement mindset and tool applications. Develop key metrics and drive team participation in daily systems that deliver improved value for the operation/business (e.g. - idea generation, 5-S, root cause analysis, PSF, and project completion)
- Create an inspiring Associate experience through clarifying purpose, team priorities and matching individual strengths with business objectives. Build team capability by facilitating our foundational development processes (e.g. - P&D, Sponsorship, PIP, development of future leadership bench)
- Develop strong relationship and interface with regional Facilities team to ensure ongoing continuity of plant operations
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a Technical or Operations field of study and a minimum of 2 years leadership experience or a minimum of 5 years Technical or Operations leadership experience in lieu of a degree
- Experience leading medium-sized teams to achieve measurable outcomes consistent with Gore's guiding principles
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and quality control standards
- Technical proficiency related to plant operations, including knowledge of equipment, processes, problem solving, and systems
- Capability to identify and create data driven systems and tools to deliver business results
- Ability to communicates directly and effectively with Associates to resolve challenges regardless of their role or difference of opinion
- Proven adaptability and a proven ability to deliver results in tough situations, simultaneously meeting diverse stakeholder needs, developing Associate capability and driving accountability
- Ability to travel up to 5%
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP/EAM
- Excellent knowledge of process improvement techniques with demonstrated ability to use Lean or Six Sigma tools
- Condition Based Monitoring and Predictive Maintenance Planning
