The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Security Specialist II to support our government customer located in Indian Springs, Nevada.

Security Specialist II to administer and assure compliance with security regulations and procedures to include badging requirements in accordance with DoD guidelines. Directs and advises all departments regarding security regulations and procedures. Routinely interacts with Government agencies relative to security matters.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works directly with Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) and ACC to ensure completion and accreditation of new SCI Facilities (SCIF)
  • Updates and maintains Fixed Facility Checklist (FFC) and TEMPEST addendum checklists for each SCIF.
  • Ensures that all SCIF changes or modifications are allowed within DIA and ACC guidelines and approved by DIA.
  • Ensure adherence to regulations for generation, transfer, storage and handling of classified materials.
  • Conduct annual SCIF inspections in accordance with ICD 705 standards and ensure unit compliance
  • Assist, implement, complete, maintain procedures for Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF).
  • Ensures all aspects of physical construction of accredited SCIFs are keep current and points out any issues that need fixed (i.e., doors breaking, weather stripping allowing light into SCIF, etc.)
  • Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • Associate degree in business administration or related field or equivalent combination of academic/technical/military training preferably related to personnel security.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Possess five (5) years' experience in DoD security with two (2) years SCI security related experience.
  • Familiar with operating application software, including word-processing and spreadsheet programs.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience working in a Special Security Office (SSO) environment.
  • Experience working directly with the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) and ACC SCIF accreditation processes.
  • Experience managing SCIFs, including physical security, access control, and compliance with relevant regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and address physical security issues within SCIFs to maintain accreditation standards

REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Active Top Secret Clearance
