Work Shift:

Salary Exempt (United States of America) The Compensation Analyst will lead company-wide compensation programs and projects, prepare and maintain job descriptions, benchmark jobs, and analyze pay data for all company jobs. In this role, the analyst will work closely with the Human Resources team to ensure that compensation strategies are competitive and in compliance with legal requirements. This is an exempt position.

Summary of Job Responsibilities:

The compensation analyst will be responsible for the administration of our company-wide salary review process (annual merit increases), annual market reviews, short-term incentive program design and administration, as well as special projects related to employee compensation. This position will report directly to the Director, HR Business Partner - SG&A. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and strong analytical abilities along with the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks while meeting tight deadlines.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Prepare ad-hoc reports and analyze data to identify compensation trends, results, and process improvements
  • Review data from our HRIS system and identify anomalies or errors which may impact accuracy of payment calculations.
  • Support the development, maintenance, and execution of annual short-term incentive plans, ensuring that they are designed effectively to drive desired business behaviors and achieve strategic goals.
  • Configure and execute annual, quarterly, and ad-hoc compensation programs via the company HRIS; prepare and deliver related communications including manager training, emails, instructional guides, etc.
  • Prepare and maintain job descriptions for each position in the organization; ensures descriptions accurately reflect the work being performed by incumbents.
  • Benchmark jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitiveness; prepare and present summary reports of job analysis and compensation recommendations to HR business partners.
  • Provide ongoing education to managers and HR business partners to ensure consistent understanding and application of compensation principles.
  • Prepare and submit salary surveys for market data providers.
  • Manage external vendor relationships.
  • Conduct pay equity analyses for U.S. and Canadian jobs.
  • Advise management and HR partners on applicable state and federal employment regulations, compensation policies, and standard work.
  • Provide support for various HR programs, such as new hire orientations, exit interviews, and other ad hoc requests.
  • Assist with special projects, as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 1-2 years of relevant experience required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required, with advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality required.
  • CCP preferred.
  • Workday experience preferred.
  • Good working knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Good working knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
