Apprentice Service Technician

We are looking for a dedicated and hands-on Apprentice Refrigeration Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you'll work alongside experienced technicians to learn how to install, service, and repair commercial and industrial refrigeration systems. This is an excellent opportunity for someone pursuing a career in HVAC-R to gain real-world experience and build a long-term future in the trade.

• Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial and industrial refrigeration systems (e.g. walk-in coolers/freezers, display cases, chillers).

• Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues under supervision.

• Support senior technicians during service calls, both in the shop and on-site.

• Maintain tools, materials, and job site cleanliness.

• Complete service reports and documentation accurately.

• Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times.

• Attend trade school (if applicable) and complete in-house training requirements.

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a refrigeration or HVAC program (preferred).

• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to work in various conditions (hot, cold, confined spaces, at heights).

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work with hand and power tools.

• Paid on-the-job training and mentorship.

• Support with trade school and apprenticeship hours.
