IT Coordinator

Willamette Valley Cancer Institute is looking for a new IT Coordinator to join their team! This position provides Tier 1 support by resolving computer hardware, software, phone, printer, and copier help desk requests. This role also assists in daily IT operational tasks including system troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, hardware/software installation, and department projects.

The general pay scale for this position at WVCI is $18.00 - $20.00. The actual hiring rate is dependent on many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experience, education, job/position responsibilities, location, work performance, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in answering phone calls, emails, and other communications from end users.
  • Documents and maintains records of end user issues by creating and managing Service Now tickets.
  • Routes end user issues to the USON Service Desk when appropriate.
  • Provides Tier 1 IT Support by troubleshooting and resolving routine computer, printer, copier, software, phone, and other issues.
  • Assists IT Specialists and IT Manager in the overall support of servers, workstations, printers, copiers, network systems, software systems, IP phone system, and other IT related projects.
  • Escalates unresolved and more complex issues to higher level IT staff members for Tier 2 and above support.
  • Loads USON Operating System image and various software packages onto new and refurbished computers to ready them for deployment.
  • Deploys and relocates computer workstations optimizing cable and space management.
  • Facilitates Staff meetings by assisting in setup, operation, and removal of IT Equipment.
  • Routes incoming VIP and external communications to IT Manager.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Information Technology, related field, or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Prior computer, printer, and network experience preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills required.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications required.
