Job Description
General Responsibilities:
In this role you will be responsible for leading and supporting the event strategy for the company, specifically our service line events. You will partner with the National Marketing Team to successfully and collaboratively strategize, plan, organize, and execute trade show/conferences, sponsorships, and client events for our service lines and sectors. Develop and maintain marketing collateral and resources including proposal content, partnering with external communications on advertising& press releases, national conference and trade show strategy, exhibits, and promotional materials; statements of qualifications and brochures. You may support marketing efforts by researching, tracking sales data, maintaining databases, and planning national trade shows.

Key duties include:
  • Independently and proactively completes all facets associated with event inception through completion, including:
  • strategic planning;
  • manage, coordinate, and communicate trade show calendars/deadlines, etc. with conference teams;
  • supporting abstract submissions (helping get submitted in portals as well as navigating speaker logistics);
  • tactical execution and coordination of logistics;
  • vendor procurement and management;
  • contract negotiation;
  • detailed budgeting and forecasting;
  • draft event plan;
  • coordinate delivery of all materials to the event;


Other Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Establishes internal relationships and strives to provide an excellent client experience for our internal clients in operations.
  • Provides research and develops analytics to support marketing strategy and pursuit efforts. This may include gathering information and intelligence on internal expertise, clients, and competitors.
  • Generate client data reports from Terracon's marketing information systems.
  • Writes new content and develops templates for use by local offices and marketing specialists; maintains and edits library of marketing materials including resumes, project descriptions, proposal content, presentations, and collateral.
  • Supports national trade shows and manages booth rental reservations. Serves at the point of contact for offices with local trade show needs.
  • Monitors the corporate marketing support email inbox and supports local offices by facilitating and coordinating requests into the department for graphic design, advertising, collateral, vendor forms, and proposal/statement of qualifications and trade show support.
  • Follows safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
  • Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or related degree and 5 years' marketing and communications experience. Or, in lieu of a degree, 9 years' related experience.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
