Unit Director of Integrated Patient Access & Flow Pediatric Access Center Full Time 84496BR Job Summary The Unit Director of Patient Access leads people who coordinate regional patient referral, phone triage, and transport of critically ill children to Benioff Children's Hospital inpatient areas at Mission Bay and Oakland across all shifts. The Unit Director of Patient Access participates in initiatives within the UCSF Health related to strategic priorities that are supported through efficient patient acceptance and throughput. The incumbent is responsible for the alignment of departmental staffing resources, bed planning and availability, and patient flow from to areas of Benioff Children's Hospitals (e.g. Emergency Departments, Operating Rooms, Direct Admits, BCH SF/OAK Integrated Access Center admissions, etc.). The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $253,900 - $269,400 (Annual Rate). To learn more about the benefits of working at UCSF, including total compensation, please visit: https://ucnet.universityofcalifornia.edu/compensation-and-benefits/index.html Department Description The Unit Director of Patient Access, Flow, and Staffing facilitates and coordinates the BCH SF/OAK Integrated Pediatric Access Center, Mission Bay Helipad, Pediatric Medical Transport Team, Peri-Operative Services, Centralized Patient Placement RNs, Emergency Rooms, Direct Admissions, Nurse Staffing Office, Nursing Supervisors, Registry Staff, UCSF Physicians, Nursing Units, Case Management, In-house Patient Transport and Hospitality to facilitate patient flow and timely placement of patients. Maintains knowledge base as subject matter expert for patient flow and interfacility transport policies, processes and software systems. Required Qualifications
