Job Overview

We're seeking a dynamic, highly strategic leader to spearhead the planning and execution of high-profile, seasonal, and brand-defining marketing moments that generate buzz, drive business impact, and rally cross-functional teams.

As the Director of Strategic Marketing Initiatives, you'll lead the development of marketing initiatives that require orchestration across teams - from marketing and merchandising to digital, partnerships, and stores. You'll ensure high-impact programs are aligned with company priorities, impeccably executed, and optimized for maximum cultural relevance and business performance.

The ideal candidate is part strategic marketer, part campaign conductor, and part organizational glue - someone who thrives in complex environments, anticipates needs before they arise, and can turn vision into action with clarity, creativity, and influence.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the planning and execution of flagship stores marketing initiatives, seasonal moments, and brand buzz-builders - from concept through launch.
  • Ensure these campaigns stand out in the market, ladder up to brand strategy, and drive meaningful business results.
  • Identify whitespace opportunities in the marketing calendar and develop creative solutions to activate around key cultural, retail, or customer moments.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner and integrator for the marketing strategy team, helping connect vision to execution across the line of business marketing teams.
  • Collaborate with teams across the organization (e.g., Merchandising, Digital, Partnerships, Stores) to align on campaign objectives, timelines, and KPIs.
  • Keep initiatives on track - ensuring deadlines, deliverables, and details are managed with precision.
  • Oversee post-campaign retrospectives and implement learnings to refine future planning.
  • Foster strong communication and collaboration within the marketing and content strategy team, as well as across other relevant departments within Marketing and beyond, by developing systems of regular communication and in person touch points.
  • Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.
  • In addition to the essential duties mentioned above, other duties may be assigned.

Skills You Will Need

  • Minimum 8 years experience with a proven track record of strategic thinking, creativity and innovation that drives business results.
  • Experience in creating, managing and maintaining content or marketing calendars that align with business goals, customer needs and cultural moments.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for aligning campaigns across different channels (social, email, digital, stores).
  • Experience applying analytics and insights to create integrated marketing campaigns that deliver against clear KPIs.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • A strategic thinker who thrives at the intersection of big ideas and operational detail.
  • Experienced in leading large-scale, cross-functional campaigns with multiple stakeholders and tight timelines.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, ever-evolving environments, and energized by work that is both high-visibility and high-impact.

Who You Are

  • Candidates with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply.
  • Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel
  • Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms
  • Requires close vision
