Performs all supply distribution service functions and inventory management for supplies, consumables, equipment and linen throughout the department.
Facilitates the movement of equipment and patients within the department and OBV.

Job Duties

• Performs inventory management activities for supplies, consumables, equipment, and linen.
• Performs activities related to receiving, counting, material put away, material picking, distribution of supplies, consumables, and equipment.
• Facilitates the movement of equipment and patients within the department and OBV.
• Ensures material removed from storage location is the correct item, unit of measure, and quantity.
• Utilizes technology to streamline work processes, reduce turnaround time, and create more effective workflows.
• Performs supply/equipment demand request deliveries.
• Monitors and switches out updates and handles product recalls, exchanges, and returns.

• Must be 18 years old or older and
• Demonstrates basic computer/PC navigation skills, warehousing devices, and knowledge of equipment, hardware, and software.
• Must demonstrate the ability to prioritize and work independently in a stressful changing environment.
• Must possess and exhibit excellent customer service, teamwork, math skills, strong communication, and organizational skills.
• Must become familiar with medical supplies, consumables, and equipment.

Lift and carry 40-50 lbs. Examples: Push/pull patients on bed, stretcher (requires 29 lbs. push force), lateral transfers up to 50 lbs. of the patient's weight. Frequent to continuous standing/walking. Patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift. *Patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
