Come join our GTE Financial team! We are looking for a highly motivated, problem solver to join as a Post-Closer Representative. The Post-Closer Representative is responsible for the transmission of all first mortgage and home equity loans to the servicing system and reviewing all closed mortgage files to ensure document compliance and collateral perfection. The Post-Closer Representative will reconcile funds received or issued and communicate with members, title companies and internal customers about items missing or needed to ensure that a file has all documentation in place. This includes Mortgage files including first mortgages, home equities, and home loan line-of-credit loans. What does GTE look for in a Post-Closing Representative I? Post-Closing:
- Responsible for transmitting all closed loans to servicing for setup; ensuring that all closed loans are setup.
- Post-closing all files for documentation compliance and collateral perfection.
- Post-closing audits, which result with outstanding conditions must be disclosed and monitored.
- Accurately reflect the loan status within operating systems.
- Assist the Accounting Department with balancing of various GL's within Department.
- Update pertinent data accurately and accordingly upon receipt of any corrected documentation for all loan reporting systems.
- Scan and sort the imaged copies of the closing documents; upload and/or export imaged documents from the Virtual Loan Folder into the Credit Union's internal imaging system as well as the Servicer's imaging system.
- Monitor and collect missing legal documents appearing on a weekly New Loan Missing Doc Report from Cenlar on all mortgage products.
- Monitor and correct all errors disclosed by the Tax ID Report produced by the Servicer's system.
- Responsible for daily wire for Cenlar to capture interest, escrows, principal reductions, etc.
- Responsible for FHA/VA insuring on government back loans.
- All loans boarded into the Servicing system must be captured in an excel spreadsheet and must accurately reflect the interim interest, escrows, principle reductions and lender paid closing cost for wiring to Cenlar daily.
Operational:
- Adheres to document retention policy and procedures.
- Have a thorough knowledge of current mortgage system(s) and its features.
- For maintaining Credit Union goals, it is the responsibility of each employee to strive for the continuous quality improvement of processes and quality of service to internal and external customers, by offering suggestions for processing improvements to Servicing Manager.
- All work responsibilities are subject to having performance goals and/or targets established as part of the annual performance planning process or as the result of organizational goal and production planning.
- Perform all responsibilities in accordance with current organizational goals and standards.
- Must demonstrate a functional knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act in addition to other Federal laws, including but not limited toU.S. Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets & Control, Anti-Money Laundering, Right to Financial Privacy Act, and the Bank Bribery Act.
- Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish).
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred.
- Minimum 1-3 years' experience or a combination of education and experience.
Position Details:
- Location: Downtown Tampa - GTE Headquarters
- Department Hours: Monday- Friday (8:00 am to 6:00 pm) // Saturday (9:00 am to 1:00 pm)
Full-time hours required, with additional hours as necessary to accomplish objectives, goals, and projects. This position is defined as hybrid in nature, (in-office, or remote) and may be changed at any time by management with appropriate notice, if possible. Required for Remote/Hybrid Work:

- Some positions will require performance standards to be met to qualify for alternative work arrangements.
- Required to have power and high-speed internet over 100MB (minimum).
- Video capability (connection of 1.5 Mbps up and down recommended).
- Candidates must provide and meet all technical requirements prior to the first day of training.
- Hybrid candidates must live within driving distance of the office location and be able to regularly commute to and from the office location as needed.
