What You'll Do

The Distribution Supervisor will lead a team to manage and maintain the Carthage finished goods inventory, and ensure safe operating procedures within product movement, according to Dyno Nobel Americas and plant policies and procedures, including State and Federal government agencies. Other duties include:

  • Demonstrate and/or lead the commitment to the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through behavioral based safety.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable HSE performance standards, objectives, and regulations.

  • Supports BEx initiatives and ensures participation from all areas of responsibility.

  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; works well in group problem solving situations; uses reason when dealing with emotional topics.

  • Maintain good personnel relations by explaining company goals and policies.

  • Constructs work plans for the Magazine workforce based on production plans and adjusts plans as necessary.

  • Support the production schedulers with on hand inventories and magazine capacity.

  • Writes clearly and informatively; presents numerical data effectively; able to read and interpret written information.

  • Contributes to building a positive team spirit; able to build morale and group commitments to goals and objectives; supports everyone's efforts to succeed.

  • Displays passion and optimism; inspires respect and trust; mobilizes others to fulfill their vision; provides vision and inspiration to peers and subordinates.

  • Builds positive relationships by listening, addressing concerns, feelings and communicating challenging but realistic performance expectations to move others to higher levels of performance.

  • Follows policies and procedures; completes administrative tasks correctly and on time; supports organization's goals and values.

What We're Looking For:

  • Supervisory experience preferred.

  • Ability to provide direction and coaching to others in an effective leadership manner.

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred.

  • Must have experience in shipping and distribution

  • CDL Class A with Hazmat endorsement is preferred

  • Familiarity with explosive manufacturing technology and processing technology.

  • Detailed familiarity with Dyno Nobel Americas supply chain and Customer Service functions.

  • Ability to interact and discuss issues with regulatory compliance officials (e.g. ATF).
