Overview

Nakupuna Consulting is seeking a skilled Solution Train Engineer (STE) to lead and coordinate Agile Release Trains (ARTs) as part of a complex, large-scale ERP modernization effort for the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) and Navy enterprise clients. This role is critical to facilitating the successful execution of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) across multiple teams, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals, and delivering value in support of Navy digital transformation initiatives.



Responsibilities

    Extensive experience leading release trains or solution trains on large initiatives
  • SAFe RTE Certification
  • Coordinate and align multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs) to deliver value at scale
  • Manage inter-team dependencies and risks within the solution train
  • Drive continuous improvement in solution delivery processes
  • Ensure that solution deliverables meet quality and timeline expectations
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders, ARTs, and leadership
  • Other duties as assigned by your supervisor


Qualifications

Qualifications Required:

  • 8+ years of experience in Agile project or program management, with at least 3 years in a SAFe environment.
  • Certified SAFe Solution Train Engineer (or willingness to obtain certification).
  • Experience coordinating large-scale solution development, ideally in a government or DoD environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and enterprise modernization efforts.
  • Strong leadership, facilitation, and communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, VersionOne, or Rally.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to brief senior leadership and technical teams.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

Clearance:

  • Requires an active secret clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.

Physical Requirements: The ideal candidate must at a minimum be able to meet the following physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation:

  • Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers.
  • Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer.
