What this job involves This position requires a skilled maintenance professional to perform various building maintenance tasks including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs. You'll work both independently and as part of a team to ensure facilities remain in optimal condition, respond to emergencies, and maintain compliance with safety regulations and codes. Your day-to-day tasks will include: Maintaining lighting systems including replacing bulbs and ballasts Performing general interior maintenance such as HVAC/R coil cleaning and kitchen equipment maintenance Handling minor plumbing repairs and general building maintenance Completing special tasks including painting, locksmith work, and addressing tenant service requests Following safety procedures and maintaining clean, hazard-free work areas Documenting work performed and managing materials procurement Responding to after-hours emergency calls when on rotation Desired experience and technical skills Requirements: Valid state driver's license Minimum one year of experience in general building repair, basic plumbing, and basic electrical Physical ability to lift 80+ lbs, use ladders up to 30 ft, and perform frequent climbing, bending, kneeling Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English High school diploma or GED equivalent Ability to comply with Jones Lang LaSalle and client policies & procedures Preferred: Completion of applicable technical training program Self-motivated with ability to work independently or in team settings Mechanical and electrical aptitude Experience with building maintenance systems and equipment Location: On-site -Shelby Twp, MI If this job description resonates with you, we encourage you to apply, even if you don't meet all the requirements.
