DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This role involves proficient operation of specialized machinery and vehicles that have a gross vehicle weight of 32,001 pounds or greater. Employees in this position are not only responsible for the operation of such equipment but also engage in manual labor when they are not behind the wheel. The job requires active involvement in the maintenance of the equipment, ensuring it remains in optimal working condition. Additionally, the work encompasses a variety of tasks that range from unskilled to skilled labor, highlighting the versatility and adaptability required of the employee. - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Overtime may be required in emergency situations such as wildfire suppression
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience as an Equipment Operator A (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Two years of experience in the operation of heavy construction and specialized maintenance equipment used at this level with a gross vehicle weight of 32,001 pounds or more; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience or training.
Special Requirement:
- This position requires possession of a valid Class C Pennsylvania driver's license.
Condition or Employment:
- This position requires possession of a valid Class A Commercial driver's license (CDL).
Other Requirements:
