Parker Lord has immediate openings for the following roles at the Robison Road facility in Erie, PA:

Silicone Operator: The duties of this position encompass all aspects of the Silicone manufacturing process, include transfer molding, mold assembly, finishing, blasting, mixing, blending, freshening, metal processing, fabrication, post baking, part marking, product assembly, painting, testing, and inspection. The Operator must meet the requirements of the learned skill and demonstrate proficiency before an increase in pay is warranted. This position falls within the scope of the FM Drug and Alcohol program and potential employees must pass FAA Drug Screen upon hire and submit to random testing as required.

HCL Operator: HCL Fabricators are asked to perform a large variety of manufacturing processes across many different areas within the HCL department. The Operator must meet the requirements of the learned skill and demonstrate proficiency before an increase in pay is warranted. This position falls within the scope of the FM Drug and Alcohol program and potential employees must pass FAA Drug Screen upon hire and submit to random testing as required.

HCL Production Shim Operator: This position supports Erie plant production to produce metal components that conform to specifications using punch presses, power forming machines, deburring equipment, and lathe machines while following all safety protocols with continuous improvement involvement. Inspecting parts to ensure that they meet drawing requirements with the use of comparators and other precision measuring instruments is required.

These production areas are responsible for the quality of product and workmanship and participate in activities designed to improve customer satisfaction, quality, and productivity. All Candidates must be able to work off shift (2nd or 3rd) for an extended period of time.

  • Daily interaction with other operators and department support staff to share best practices and support smooth shift changeover
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and quality while remaining on task to enable meeting expected production output which often requires performing repetitive production operations
  • Participation in activities designed to improve safety, quality, customer satisfaction and productivity
  • Proactive involvement in LEAN manufacturing with a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Complete all paperwork and computer transactions accurately and timely. Complete appropriate labor accounting and stockroom control transactions correctly. Input necessary quality data as required
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers, production support, and customers.
  • Work effectively in a team environment
  • Provide training for new operators as required, perform other similar and related duties
  • Various production duties as assigned to perform specific role
  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • Basic Mechanical skills or ability
