More about the role

This is an exciting job opportunity for an IP (Intellectual Property) Paralegal in Burlington, MA, with Signify.

  • Prepare and file new US patent applications including Provisional and Non-provisional applications, Continuations, Divisionals and National Phase applications.

  • Draft and file US patent prosecution documents including responses to non-final and final office actions, election/restriction requirement responses, Preliminary Amendments, recordation of assignment documents, Information Disclosure Statements (IDS) and citations, terminal disclaimers, Requests for Continued Examination (RCE), submission of replacement drawings, and Issue Fee Transmittals.

  • Manage patent dockets and deadlines to ensure filings are timely and accurate.

  • Support patent attorneys in docket and practice management.

  • Perform additional IP-related tasks duties as assigned.

More about you

While we value and appreciate all applicants, we believe that the following experience and skills will be needed to shine brightly in this job opening:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree preferred

  • 3+ years of IP paralegal/patent administration experience including experience with the preparation of filing documents for the USPTO, US patent prosecution procedures and maintaining US patent application electronic files

  • Experience with USPTO systems (EFS-Web, PAIR, EPAS and Patent Center)

  • Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and ability to work independently and within a team

  • Excellent time management skills and successful in high pressure environments; can easily shift priorities without compromising deadlines or quality of work and proactive in identifying and addressing issues quickly

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Salary:$40.24 to $59.00 per hour based on experience
