Mfg Associate I

Produces technically complex processes per the responsibilities below. Exact job tasks may vary by area assigned.

• Manufacturing process and support for assigned area(s)
  • Ability to learn production processes in assigned areas as required.
  • Run production processes, meeting safety, quality, delivery and throughput goals.
  • Help perform required preventative maintenance.
  • Suggest process improvements and submit Safety Near Miss Cards
  • Complete Day by Hour boards and Team Improvement boards as appropriate.
• Quality
  • Ability to identify good and bad parts.
• Process Improvements
  • Suggest any safety and non-safety related process improvements as appropriate.
  • Participant in high performance teams.
• Other activities or tasks assigned by leadership team appropriate for the assigned area(s).

Qualifications:

• High School Degree or Equivalent

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Good problem-solving skills.
• Can read, write, and speak English enough to perform job responsibilities.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Understand routers, ISO procedures, work instructions, and standard work.
• Use required measurement devices such as calipers, VMM, or micrometer.
• Meets all training requirements.

Typical Mental and Physical Demands:

• Spend most of the day walking or standing.
• Both near and far vision to evaluate parts and processes
• Work with other team members, maintenance, leadership, manufacturing engineering to support the process.
• Work with or on equipment in the area using any appropriate tools.

This position is subject to meeting U.S. export compliance and/or U.S. Government contracting citizenship eligibility requirements.

SALARY INFORMATION:

Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for Connecticut. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations. Pay Range: $18-$28 per hour.
