Senior Manager, FP&A

Albany International Corp. is looking for a Senior Manager, FP&A. The Senior Manager, FP&A will play a critical role in financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis at both the segment and consolidated level. This role partners directly with segment leadership, providing actionable insights and financial narratives that inform strategic decisions. Candidates must be fluent in financial modeling and reporting, and comfortable working across multiple data sources-especially with SAP S/4HANA.

This person should possess excellent communication skills, the ability to partner and work cross-functionally in a multi-facet organization, and set a high bar for themselves. Responsibilities & Key Areas

  • Serve as the primary FP&A partner for one or more business segments, leading financial planning, forecasting, and monthly close analysis.
  • Consolidate and analyze data from SAP S/4HANA, BI platforms, Excel models, and other tools to create accurate and insightful financial reports.
  • Prepare and present segment and consolidated variance analysis, trend reports, and executive-level commentary on results.
  • Drive planning cycles (annual budget, quarterly forecasts) and challenge business assumptions with financial discipline.
  • Collaborate with accounting and corporate FP&A during close to ensure reporting accuracy and completeness.
  • Develop dashboards and KPIs that align segment performance with company objectives.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis on business performance, pricing, cost drivers, and capital investments.

Preferred Experience/Characteristics/ Competencies & Education




  • 7-10+ years of FP&A or related financial analysis experience, ideally in a public company with multiple business segments.
  • Strong financial modeling and Excel skills; proficiency with planning/reporting tools a plus (e.g., SAP SAC Tool, Power BI).
  • Deep understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and performance measurement.
  • Proven business partnering skills-able to question, influence, and support operating leaders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required; MBA or CPA a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail without losing the big-picture business context.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, including working knowledge of data structures, reporting modules, and planning integration.
  • Experience pulling and consolidating data from multiple systems and tools, and turning raw inputs into executive-ready insights.
  • Ability to challenge and improve existing reporting and planning processes.
