Position Summary

The analytical chemist position supports continuing and new product development through method development, performance testing and applications-oriented testing of in-product and new products. This position develops and executes test plans and communicates the results through reports, presentations and technical documents. The chemist also produces data and helps in the preparation of marketing pieces which demonstrate the products' advantages for customers' needs. An analytical chemist must have in-depth knowledge of FTIR and Raman spectroscopy as well as other field analytical techniques. The chemist will have strong organizational, record keeping and laboratory skills.

This position is located in Danbury, CT and requires a full-time, onsite presence.

Key Responsibilities



  • Chemical and real-life testing of current and new equipment and software
  • Work on new applications for current and future products.
  • Product development support
  • Spectral Library Development and Maintenance
  • Provide support for internal sales team


Skills & Qualifications



  • Operational knowledge of FTIR and Raman spectrometers.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in physical sciences or forensics
