About the role Finding better ways to provide the materials the world needs. We are looking for aManager Asset Management to lead an assets management function to develop and implement the Risk Management and Assurance framework, ensuring risks and opportunities are assessed, and effective controls implemented and monitored for asset integrity and process safety. The role is fundamental to our organization and leadership team, responsible for connecting people and processes both horizontally and vertically across the organization. This role is a great leadership role for an experienced professional to maximize the value of our assets by either ensuring optimal operational management or driving returns from the asset portfolio. Reporting to the General Manager - Operational & Technical support, you will be:
Leading and designing an effective asset management function aligning people, processes, systems, technology, measures and benchmarks. Managing teams and resources, setting role and competency requirements to meet the asset management strategy, objectives and plans. Developing specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and timely business goals to meet the asset management organizational strategy and operational plan. Implementing asset management improvement strategies to ensure sustainable business goal performance and risk management. Monitoring and reviewing asset management process and performance, including asset health and risk. Collaborating with Product Groups, Business Units and Sites to influence, sustain and embed asset management systems and processes. Leading the development and deployment of the Rio Tinto Asset Management assurance programme for the group. Developing and integrating the Risk Management and Assurance framework into Rio Tinto's Asset Management standard and framework, including developing: engineering standards /performance standards and associated assurance (Asset Integrity minimum requirements);
What you'll bring To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team 10+ years of experience in asset management and 5+ years direct mining/maintenance operational leadership Demonstrated ability to implement and manage continuous improvement processes Commercial acumen commensurate with role requirements Effective and authoritative communication and coaching skills Effective time management and personal organizational skills Demonstrate an open-minded genuine curiosity towards understanding the needs of business and the impact of applied solutions Able to work alone and to take and apply feedback Proven stakeholder management experience

Where you'll be working Our Kennecott mine is a world-class, fully integrated copper mining operation, including a concentrator, smelter, and refinery, located just outside Salt Lake City, Utah, in the United States.
