Laser Operator

Mazak Corporation is hiring a Laser Operator to join our Fabrication Department located at our Headquarters in Florence, KY. The laser machine operator safely performs laser cutting for a variety of manufacturing products. This is a first shift position.

Scope and Responsibilities:

Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Proactively attains a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
• Download Programs for Lasers.
• Power up all machines and stackers in Laser area.
• Work with team member to pull large sheets of metal off of laser machine
• Shake sheet metal with the help of team member to release parts that the laser machine has cut
• Sort and organize parts
• Standing for long periods of time
• Lift up to 40 pounds

Education/Certification:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Skills:

• Experience with Laser Operating is preferred
• Machine operating background required
• Blueprint reading experience is preferred
• Experience working in a team environment
• Good organization skills
• Mechanically inclined
